1、hot=high temperature

（1）piping hot

用来形容食物滚烫，刚出锅那种且非常新鲜

红色的热？这一般通过视觉来描述热，温度特别高。比如说被高温烧红的铁。可以用作形容词，解释成“赤热的，猛烈的”。

（3）white hot

白色的热？这个又该怎么理解呢？这个一般用来形容极热的金属物，烧透明的那种。

还有人体感官上的热，如：

This sweater's too hot to wear inside.

这件毛衣穿在里面太热了。

2、hot=very popular

英英释义：something or someone that is hot is very popular or fashionable, and everyone wants to use them, see them, buy them etc

hot的第二种意思就是指某人某物非常受欢迎等，比如说电影、演唱会很火爆，很受欢迎，也可以用hot。

3、hot=spicy

4、hot=good

英英释义：very good, especially in a way that is exciting

指某人某物非常好，优秀，从而很受欢迎，有名气等。

5、hot=sexy

英英释义：someone who is hot is very attractive sexually.

即指很性感的人,有魅力的人。
